OX is a start-up automotive company with a difference; we are targeting the ~3 billion people in developing countries who have never bought a vehicle, new or used.

Our strategy is to deliver clean, affordable transport in emerging markets, driving a self-reinforcing cycle of economic growth and social impact. We will do this by implementing a “mobility-as-a-service” (MaaS) strategy using our unique electric OX truck.

Job purpose

We need an EV systems technical specialist/chief engineer to enable us to achieve technical excellence and create fit-for-purpose electrical architecture. You will do this by providing technical expertise, coaching, and hands-on support to the whole engineering team.

About us

At OX, we work in Agile Scrum teams. This underpins a culture of trust, flexibility, and teamwork. The flat structure at OX means teams are able to deliver without the need for senior sign-off.

We want to create a team with the following values:
• Ask hard questions and give honest answers: we will continually question our approach to delivery. We will be direct and non-political in answers, admit mistakes and be open to new ideas.
• Passionate about making a difference: we want to improve the world, be engaged in OX's purpose, and celebrate wins as a team. Actions are based on creating value.
• Teamwork enabled by trust: we will be more than the sum of our parts enabled by openness and transparency throughout the company, helping colleagues, sharing information, and seeking advice.

Being a start-up business means things can change quickly, which drives uncertainty, so it’s important you take this into consideration before applying. We expect our teams to be able to adapt and respond to different types of work, broadening your experience.

We know start-up environments aren’t for everyone!
